Weekly what:nots...

How has the past week been for you? I hope it has been just fine and that the weekend has treated you just as well. Our week disappeared in a blur of this'n that, riding, school things, and so on. And despite the rain I've spent most of the past two days in the garden - such a treat. R arrives home tomorrow so we will once again be four, and in just a few days it will be June. I do hope all is well in your neck of the woods - thanks for stopping by.

A wonderful still of Anouk Aimee captured from the film 8 1/2.

For no other reason than I quite like this image...not to mention it makes me want to cut my hair into a blunt bob.

Some advice...

Our epic summer trip is almost upon us - so exciting! We head to New Zealand in late June to see family and friends. From there it's on to India!! We're in India for a month and will be staying in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodphur, Jaisalmer, Kerala, and Mumbai. Then we're off to Amsterdam for almost a week, before driving to Copenhagen. From there we plan to drive through Sweden's archipelago where we hope to stay for a few days, before heading to Stockholm for four days or so. Then it's back home to Portland. Phew! I've been doing lots of research, but there's nothing like first hand advice. I would love any tips, advice, or suggestions you might have.

A sneak peek...

...of our about-to-be-had summer adventure. In all we'll be away for almost two months! I'll post more details soon and I'll be asking for recommendations on what to see.

Weekly what:nots...

Hello! Life has settled down (well, just a bit) and I'm almost on top of things. In the good news department we have found a wonderful school for the boys (hooray!), and planning for our epic adventure is just about complete. The boys' play was a resounding success, and summer has finally arrived in Portland (even if today is rather grey). Thank you for hanging in there in my absence, and for your kind comments - they make me smile. Here's a long overdue what:nots - enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Absolutely loving these bracelets from wsake.

I'm somewhat obsessed by these Ben Seibel bookends.

Back soon...

My apologies for my absence. Life is very busy at present. Between the house, the boys, the search for a middle school, riding 3 to 4 times a week, helping with props and costumes for the school play, organising our epic summer trip (more on that in a week or so), and all the usual day to day bits and bobs I'm struggling to find time to post. So I'm taking a break and hope to be back this weekend all going according to plan. Have a lovely week - see you soon!

Weekly what:nots...

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is treating you well. Portland is ablaze with sun - such a treat after weeks of endless rain. Hopefully the sun is shining where ever you are - I'm off to investigate options for our vegetable boxes. Have a wonderful day!
