What:nots...

Phew! It's been quite a week - there's been ever so much catching up with old friends, and visiting family, that we are now quite ready for a wee holiday. It has been really lovely though, and tomorrow after a farewell lunch, we're off to the Bay with my parents for a week of relaxation. Yippee! How's your week been? I hope it's treated you well, and that life is good in your neck of the woods. Here's what:nots - see you in a week...
I know it's been doing the rounds, but I love this pic of Sofia Coppola.

This is so utterly true.

Loving Liselotte Watkins' illustrations for Vogue Italia.

Alan Preston's beautiful kowhai seed, muka, and gold necklaces.

So much to like about this image of Princess Anne.

Gold floral pattern card from Rifle Paper Co.

Elegant hair and makeup at Peter Som - Fall 2012.

Beatriz Furest's new collection - love this bag + colour
(the blue vodka version is pretty nice too).

My Favorite Dirt Roads by Robert Kinmont (found via Alexandria).

And a recent addition to my reading list - Richard Davenport-Hines exploration of the passengers and crew onboard the Titanic.

What:nots...

It's almost the weekend! The boys and I are ensconced in San Francisco airport, waiting for our flight to New Zealand. Super exciting to be heading home for a few weeks to see family and friends (and to get some much needed sunshine). Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful weekend - here's what:nots.
Elegant photograph found over on b for bonnie.

Something to try and remember.

Clever leaf brooches printed with old photographs from Puur Anders.

I discovered Catbird's candles over at Ink & Peat last week. With notes of incense, Turkish rose, and pencil shavings (!) - Tarot Deck would have to be my favourite.

Loving the current issue of Anthology.

Alyson Fox's simple necklaces.

Looking forward to the release of Lucy McRae's short film for Aesop.

Seriously coveting this maple cutting board.

I recently heard a favourable review of this book, and will be adding it to my reading list.

And a little bit of Duke Ellington to end with.

What:nots...

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is tootling along nicely, and that the past week was a good one. With R now in New Zealand, we are plodding along as three. After a so-so start to the year, February is turning out to be a much better month. Among other things, my aim to make time to read more this year is paying off. Funny how time to read can often feel like a luxury in these harried times. Do you find (or make) the time to read regularly? I'm interested...
Pretty kimono, top knot + image found here.

Wise words from John Wooden.

Very much taken by this Hoshi pot stand.

Much to like about this Winter 2012 collection.

Kontex's wonderfully soft organic cotton towels.

Thanks to this my obsession with large country estates continues.
More kitchen goodness from Japan - Noda Horo's teapot.

Apres Grande 12 by Christian Chaize.

And Gordon Lightfoot's The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

What:nots...

Another weekend almost over - how was yours? I hope it was jolly. The boys and I managed to potter about, and tick a few things off our to do lists. We're now counting down the days until we head off on a wee trip to New Zealand in just under a fortnight. I hope the week ahead is kind to you, and thanks ever so much for stopping by - I love getting your comments!
Loving the Peter Lindbergh photography in Joseph's FW11.12 campaign.

Le chat by Flora Douville.

Humanoid's new collection - especially this 'Jumper' tunic.

Silhouettes from HAM.

Primrose Hill Picnic - such a pretty colour + name.

My duffle coat obsession continues, helped by this beauty from Gloverall.

Stylish, and clever packaging for Himalayan water.

Windstille...

I stopped in my tracks when I saw this art installation - 2000 suspended dandelions! Hop over here to see images of how German artist Regine Ramseier created this wonderful piece.
