What:nots...

Or should that be belated-what:nots? After one too many late nights it was early to bed for me last night, and today has been the usual hurly-burly round of Saturday things. Anyhoo I hope you all had a fun week. We survived another week of the hols, as well as sweltering temperatures, and are now on a countdown toward our next adventure. We have a four hour layover in Chicago and I'm wondering whether we should explore beyond the airport....if anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them. Right-o let's get on with what:nots, or it will be next Friday before you know it!
Dark hair, wild brows and ice blue eyes at Alberta Ferretti.
Loving Burberry's new 'beauty' range - especially the lip glows.
How to personalise (or pimp) your Moleskine.
Lovely ballet flats by Maria Sharapova for Cole Haan.
Could Clu have made the perfect little black dress for summer?
Delicate nested 'rose' bowls from White Forest Pottery.
kai perfume oil a sublime blend of gardenia and tropical white flowers.
And a small pop of colour to end with. I not sure what I love more about Uxua Casa - the idea of staying here, or finding a little piece of paradise and creating something similar...

I hope you have a fun weekend - I'm off to make cardamom cooler from here.

Weekly what:nots...

Hello there. I'm afraid I got sidetracked helping Turtle rearrange his room this evening, so am running a bit behind. Before we kick off - how was your week? I hope you had a good one. Ours was crazy madness until school finished on Tuesday, then slipped straight into sloth-like slowness. Which has been rather nice, albeit hugely unproductive. We have been excitedly following R and the team, cheering via twitter as they make their way across the country. I'm feeling ridiculously proud of him right now! I hope you have a fun weekend planned, and thank you for all your comments, it's so lovely to read them, and humbling to know that you visit Elsa May. Enjoy!
Translucent eyes found here.
French Connection's 'Coastal Clutch' - great for summer.

Pretty colours in Crush by Anya Spielman.

Love this asymmetric dress - versatile, comfy and stylish.

A lovely little sake cup, with a rather large price tag for such a wee cup.

Pie chart pins by StudioFludd. They'd look good on a wall too (via Seesaw).
A tissue-thin sheer knit tank from Madewell.

What are these? Why they are stools of course - $600 stools that is. Hop on over to the Mogg Blogg, and read Joy and Janet's hilarious posts on design and home decor.

Weekly whatnots...

How was your week? I hope you had a lovely one. I've been hanging out with Turtle and Mu lots as school's been closed for two days this week. It's been lots of fun and tomorrow is the weekend - hooray! Let's get on with this week's what:nots - a very mixy mixture.

A cosy reindeer jersey (sweater) from Cabbages and Roses.

An elegant grouping from Joslyn's beautiful home.

For those of you heading into summer - the perfect casual summer dress.

Pretty colours on Penguin Classics (via Design*Sponge). There's a great interview with Coralie Bickford-Smith Penguin's senior cover designer here.

The sweetest little 'make your own dog' kits by Domenica More Gordon (via Simple Pretty).

Beautiful photographs from Vogue Italia.

'Gift' by Sally King Benedict.

Fabulous equestrian boots from Billy Reid - I'm also liking the leggings...

A very worthy cause and a hugely informative booklet. Visit The Prince's Rainforests Project and send an SOS to help save the world's rainforests.
