Happy Monday - I hope you all had a grand weekend. Ours was lovely and relaxing which is always a nice thing. Unfortunately I spent most of it with a head cold which wasn't such a nice thing. Here's to a good week ahead.
Here we are on a soggy Sunday, mid November. It was practically dark at half past four today. The past week has been mixed. On the good (well, to be honest, great) news front I am the proud owner of a horse!! His name is Irish, and he is a very handsome chestnut thoroughbred. On the not so good news front I'm laid up in bed with a severely pulled back muscle. Ouch. Annoying, and somewhat ironic as I won't be riding for a wee while. Hopefully things are well in your neck of the woods. I'm looking forward to a quiet evening in with R's chicken and mushroom pie, followed by rhubarb and apple crumble with lots of whipped cream. Yum.
Gosh has it really been two weeks? Time just seems to be flying. We appear to arrived in November complete with shorter days, crisp temperatures, and leaves left, right and centre. On the exciting news front, we are now staying in Portland for another year...whoop whoop! And this morning I competed in my first horse show. Horrifically nerve wracking, but lots of fun. I even managed a second place in one class...whoop whoop! Here's a long overdue what:nots. Happy Sunday eve...
