What:nots...
We seem to have tumbled out the other end of our NYC trip, the boys' graduation, and a somewhat manic end to the school year. R is once again in NZ, so the boys and I have been planning what to do with three months of summer holidays. Thankfully we have all opted for a low key approach, and plan to just take our time, and do whatever, whenever the mood strikes us - a kind of perfect summer really. And I plan to get a bit more back on track with this rather neglected blog! So as a start - here's a long overdue what:nots. Have a wonderful week.
The always elegant Keira Knightley.
Stephen King from his memoir On Writing.
A dusty pink slip from Loup Charmant.
Camellia's - past their best yet still beautiful.
Masanori Oji's brass bottle opener.
Game Plan a beautiful book on the work of Alighiero Boetti.
Hope's perfectly slouchy Judge Trouser.
And with scents of milk, oatmeal, vanilla, and vetiver, Barr-Co's products are some of (if not the) loveliest bath products I've come across. Subtle, yet lingering, and wonderfully creamy - what's not to love.

What:nots...
Shucks...Monday already?! How was the past week for you? Mine was a little dire, and somewhat topsy-turvy, but here we are - a new week, and a new start. The highlight was having a good four inches chopped off my hair - very liberating! I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Thanks ever so much for stopping by - have a wonderful, wonderful week.
So much about this image to like.
A rather attractive Linen Flower Knob.
Rita Lowell Smith's Arbutus Berries 1936.
John Donne, The Penguin Poets 1972.
A collection of images from Wild Goose Chase. Plus there is much to love on her Flickr.
With stationery like this there's no excuse not to to put pen to paper.
This seriously good salt is hand harvested from the Oregon coast.
Falconwright's clutches and purses.
And a rather charming song from Blossom Dearie.

What:nots...
Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is tootling along nicely, and that the past week was a good one. With R now in New Zealand, we are plodding along as three. After a so-so start to the year, February is turning out to be a much better month. Among other things, my aim to make time to read more this year is paying off. Funny how time to read can often feel like a luxury in these harried times. Do you find (or make) the time to read regularly? I'm interested...
Pretty kimono, top knot + image found here.
Wise words from John Wooden.
Very much taken by this Hoshi pot stand.
Much to like about this Winter 2012 collection.
Kontex's wonderfully soft organic cotton towels.
Thanks to this my obsession with large country estates continues.
More kitchen goodness from Japan - Noda Horo's teapot.
Apres Grande 12 by Christian Chaize.
And Gordon Lightfoot's The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
