Lauren DiCioccio's series Sewnnews is breath-taking! To convey the sense that news is moving from paper form to more modern media, Lauren encases entire issues of The New York Times in muslin, selects an image from the paper (usually one suggestive of power, leadership, or communication), and embroiders the image ono the fabric layering line and thread. Quite extraordinary! Hop on over here to see some more of Lauren's work, and make sure you have a peek at her embroidered shopping bags.
