What:nots...

Shucks...Monday already?! How was the past week for you? Mine was a little dire, and somewhat topsy-turvy, but here we are - a new week, and a new start. The highlight was having a good four inches chopped off my hair - very liberating! I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Thanks ever so much for stopping by - have a wonderful, wonderful week.
So much about this image to like.

What:nots...

Another day of abundant spring sunshine - pure bliss. I don't think I've ever been quite so excited by sunshine before! I hope Monday treated you well, and that your week is off to a stellar start. We seem to have regrouped to four well enough (despite the odd bickering between two overly tired boys). Thankfully we have a reasonably quiet week ahead, fingers crossed the sunshine continues here, and that it shines in your neck of the woods. And if you're artistically inclined and in Portland come June, Lisa is hosting a fun art workshop and tea party. Have a wonderful week!
Much to love in this image - especially her gorgeous hair.

Oh sunshine...

....lots and lots and lots of it - utter bliss after what feels like weeks of grey skies and rain. I hope you had a wonderful weekend - we are slowly regrouping to four, after my having been one this past week. I shall be back tomorrow evening with a rather tardy what:nots.

What:nots...

Another weekend down, another week about to start. The boys head off on a week-long camp tomorrow, and with R in New Zealand until Friday I will be rattling about the house on my ownsome. To be honest I'm rather excited about a week on my own - I've loads of riding planned, books to read, films to see, friends to catch up with, and lots of me time. It feels like such a treat. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods - have a wonderful week!

Pipi Cafe (the ultimate place to eat) has published a cookbook. Full of wonderful recipes, it also includes Alexandra's heart-breakingly honest account of how Pipi's came to be.

Micah Albert...

Extraordinary images by the photojournalist Micah Albert. His images of refugee camps, under-covered issues, and conflict are breath-taking, and capture the hope and beauty behind the chaos.

What:nots...

How was your weekend? I hope it treated you well and that the sun shone for you. R left on Friday for two weeks in New Zealand, so the boys and I perfected the art of pootling about the house and garden enjoying the rare sight of sunshine. And today promises to be just as bright and sunny - have a wonderful week!

What:nots...

It's a little hard to believe it's April here in Portland. It's been jolly cold, and ridiculously wet. Mind you, at least it means we've a good excuse to light the fire each evening. Thanks for stopping by - I do hope you've had a lovely weekend, ours pootled past in a pleasing manner. And having read Denise's post on 'the march' my attempts to slow things down this past week have had very pleasing results. Here's hoping the week ahead is full of spring goodness for everyone.
