Summer...

"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world."
Ada Louise Huxtable

I think this quote sums summer up particularly well don't you think? We are basking (or melting depending on your perspective) in the high high 90s. Pure bliss! I'd quite like to climb into the cool waters of the image above - if only we were by the sea...
I hope the week has been kind to you - I shall be back this evening with what:nots.

The most useful gift...

I think, at a child's birth,
if a mother could ask a fairy godmother
to endow it with the most useful gift,
that gift would be curiosity.

Chuckle...

This made me laugh - given my attack of the grumps yesterday no doubt the boys and R can relate to this quote. Anyhoo I hope you had a lovely weekend. We sure did (even with the grumps) - we dined out with friends, pootled about, explored the wine country, strolled through Washington Park, and basked in the gorgeously warm weather. I hope you have a great week lined up - we've lots on and today's is the usual 'round of madness following the weekend - enjoy your Monday!

Happiness...

I love, love, love this quote - it is such a humbling reminder. I've just spent the night with Turtle & Mu at my Dad's. Yay it is so good to get outta town and have a change of scene. I plan to spend time this evening sorting out this blog, and becoming more organised about posting. More then.
