On one hand I'm loving this late (if somewhat humid) summer blast, but on the other I'm kinda hankering after some cooler days and being able to wear jerseys and jackets...

Two sleeps to go...

Yeep! Things have been a little chaotic around here hence the lack of posts... Despite the sultry summer weather (so tempting to sit in the sun), combined with having the boys home (chaos - lovely, but chaos) and R away (flying solo once again), I seem to be just about organised for our wee holiday. I'm hoping to settle in this evening and catch up on all your blogs, pop up a few posts here, and finally respond to my Happy 101 award (thanks Engracia)! Oh, and just generally breathe...... I hope you're having a lovely week, and that the sun is shining for you.

I think this quote sums summer up particularly well don't you think? We are basking (or melting depending on your perspective) in the high high 90s. Pure bliss! I'd quite like to climb into the cool waters of the image above - if only we were by the sea...

Hello summer...

Apologies for the lack of posts - life has a habit of getting in the way at times... However, with all this ridiculously summery weather it's time to start thinking of summery wardrobes. I'm fairly certain I could find everything I need this summer at Calypso St. Barth. even if it's a wintery sun - I hope it's shining at your place.

Sunshine at last...

How was your weekend? I hope you had a grand old time and that the sun shone. Don't you find sunny weather gives you 'spring-in-you-step' kind of lift? Our weekend was great, we dined out here, and the boys' camp-out was a great success. And now with school finishing up for the year, R going away (again) on Friday, picnics, evenings out, and a whole-lotta summer travel and activities to plan, this week is looking rather hectic. I'll do my best to post regularly, but things may be a bit sporadic. I hope you have a lovely week!

Thinking of summer...

Even though Fall (Autumn) has abrupty arrived in Portland and we're piling on the layers I'm still think of summer and summery things. All my seasons and times of year are still muddled, and given we'll have two weeks of summer in New Zealand mid-way through winter no doubt I'll become even more muddled. I think I'm definitely a warm weather person - how about you - warm or cold weather?
