What:nots...

Hello Sunday afternoon. How was the past week for you? Mine drifted by slowly while I did battle with a nasty cold. Slowness and colds aside a flattering highlight was having my Pinterest account included here. It totally made my day! I hope the week ahead is a good one. With R in China the boys and I have a few plans up our sleeves, starting with a trip to Salt & Straw to try out their new apple season inspired flavours.

What:nots...

Hello there. Here we are at the start of a short week. With R still away the boys and I have pootled our way through the weekend in the laziest way possible...breakfasting at midday, and mooching about in our jim-jams. Our week ahead is packed full, and come the weekend the boys and I will be off on an adventure...
This image makes me hanker for sunshine - please Portland be sunny.

Love this stylish, yet comfy looking tunic from Worthwhile.

Can't wait for 101 Cookbooks' soon to pop-up shop Quitokeeto.

Pretty suede hats found here.

Wendy Nichol's brass bead and leather necklace.

Rachel Castle's print perfectly perched in Heidi Middleton's house.

Pratten's croc-effect wallet in tangerine.

Oil on canvas by Hans Heysen.

I was planning to post this Francoise Hardy song, but opted for this rather sweet Marianne Faithfull song instead.

What:nots...

Phew! It's been quite a week - there's been ever so much catching up with old friends, and visiting family, that we are now quite ready for a wee holiday. It has been really lovely though, and tomorrow after a farewell lunch, we're off to the Bay with my parents for a week of relaxation. Yippee! How's your week been? I hope it's treated you well, and that life is good in your neck of the woods. Here's what:nots - see you in a week...
I know it's been doing the rounds, but I love this pic of Sofia Coppola.

This is so utterly true.

Loving Liselotte Watkins' illustrations for Vogue Italia.

Alan Preston's beautiful kowhai seed, muka, and gold necklaces.

So much to like about this image of Princess Anne.

Gold floral pattern card from Rifle Paper Co.

Elegant hair and makeup at Peter Som - Fall 2012.

Beatriz Furest's new collection - love this bag + colour
(the blue vodka version is pretty nice too).

My Favorite Dirt Roads by Robert Kinmont (found via Alexandria).

And a recent addition to my reading list - Richard Davenport-Hines exploration of the passengers and crew onboard the Titanic.

What:nots...

I hope you had a good week. Ours whizzed by in a blur of wintery pre-Christmas activity, and now it's late Sunday afternoon on a very grey rainy Portland day. It's dark out, the fire is blazing, and everyone is quietly reading - a perfectly nice way to end the weekend. I hope your weekend was just as nice!
A voluminous ponytail from asos.

Tokketok's lovely + simple letter-press cards.

Made from paper yarn this necklace can also be worn as a bracelet.

Loving the soft grey of Le Souk's embroidered pouffe.

A new discovery for me, I'm very taken by Claude Maus unstructured pieces.

Beatriz Furest's fine wool scarfs.

The Medea Bag by Tadai, of which I've developed an unhealthy obsession.

And because it's almost Christmas, a Charles Dickens inspired card to end with (found via Black & Eiffel).
