Pain Killers 2007
In his exhibition Running the Numbers, Seattle photographer Chris Jordan looks at contemporary American culture through the austere lens of statistics. With each image portraying a specific quantity of something: fifteen million sheets of office paper (five minutes of paper use); 106,000 aluminium cans (thirty seconds of can consumption) Running the Numbers provides a starkly sobering view of modern consumerism.
