Weekly what:nots...

February already...do you ever wonder where the days go? We are once again three with R in Germany for a week. The boys and I have hunkered down and between homework and study have been making cookies and watching Narnia. We took a stroll this afternoon and the first tentative signs of spring are appearing...a few brave blossoms and snowdrops can be seen. I do hope you've had a lovely week, and thanks ever so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment - they always make me smile. Here's a muddly what:nots...
An utterly stunning Amber Valletta from Vogue Italia (found via Lou Boos and Shoes).

Hankering after Terrain's maple pate board.

Stylish + comfy pentronella pants from Anthro. Their in-and-out pants look pretty good too.

Wonderful products from Aesop - loving their camellia nut hydrating cream.

Stories of love and serendipity on the streets of New York by Ariel Sabar.

Timor's adorable bird, duck, or maybe a penguin...complete with hat.

And This Way of Life - a heart-breakingly beautiful documentary about the Karena family and their horses.  Espousing a simplicity of life and a recognition of one's place in the world - it's a must-see.

What:nots...

Here we are, another week down. How's it been for you? Ours has been the regular round of this'n that. Next week is looking pretty full so I'm planning to lay low and perfect the art of not doing very much at all - except attending this much anticipated event. I hope you have a wonderful weekend...
Joyce Tennyson's beautiful photographic series.

Elegantly simple silk-chiffon pieces by Jean Yu

Ussimimique by Claude Tousignant. I love how he describes wanting to take a painting back to it's source "...to the point at which painting is pure sensation"

Terrain's wonderfully wise wee owl.

Stunning equestrian images from here.

If  you're in Portland this weekend I recommend you get yourself along to Little Winter Market - there will be oodles of loveliness guaranteed.

Stella McCartney's country house. Reading this article has given me a dreadful case of garden envy.

And my absolutely new favourite ice-cream brand Strauss Family Creamery. Seriously, their ice-cream is yum-diddly-scrumptious and tastes exactly like it's homemade.

Weekly what:nots...

Hello Friday! How was your week? I hope it went well, and you have a fun weekend planned. Our week flew by full of the usual, and with Saturday just around the corner I'm looking forward to a bit of weekendy-down-time, and catching up on a whole lot of letters and emails. In the meantime, here's what:nots...
The extraordinarily beautiful Katherine Hepburn.
New York artist Peter Pryor's colourful artwork.
Graham & Spencer's Fall 2010 collection, which includes this perfect top.
Terrain's almost too-sweet-to-use tea towel.

Fab white capri's from Jazmin Chebar (found via aubrey road).
Hope's highly covetable bottle-green leather tote.
Pretty autumn colours captured by Irene Suchocki.
The lovely Hear Black Market's water-colour feather heart cards.
The Meadow, Portland. What could be better than a store that sells local flowers, artisan chocolate, and gourmet salt?
And Things We Forget's poignant Post-it notes left to their fate in public

I hope you have a grand weekend!

ps: thank you Blogger - I am loving your new add multiple-images thingy!

Weekly what:nots...

Hello there. How was your week? I hope it treated you well and you've a great weekend planned. R is away, so the boys and I have a few fun things up our sleeves, including visiting friends.who.have.a.swimming.pool! Yippee - perfect for this hot, hot weather. I also aim to (finally) sort out the rest of my things from our European jaunt. To illustrate just how disorganised everything is I thought about posting an image of my desk....but then thought better of it! Best we just get on with what:nots...
Love this image from Sessun.

Camper's cute Leia sandals. They also come in a great coral/peachy colour.
I tagged Hugh's moleskine sketch back in May. Since then he's had it framed, and sold it for (drum roll) $700. Yikes!
A time-less shirt-dress by Trovata.
Love the colours of this jaipur rug.
(I can't remember where I got the image...matta perhaps?)
Terrain's delicate Russian Tulips necklace.
And my new favourite thing - CameraBag Desktop. Easy, economical, and a fun way to play about with images.

Have a lovely weekend!

Images from Sessun, Camper, Gaping Void, Gilt, jessica jensen, terrain, heimat, and me.

One pretty card...

This has to be the prettiest valentines card I've seen.
