What:nots...

Crikey - Monday already?! How'd that happen... I hope you had a jolly weekend. Ours passed by in a tranquil blur of quietness. R, the boys and I watched Senna - really quite a moving documentary. We woke to snow flurries this morning  - all very pretty, but I'm beginning to think spring is somewhat overdue... Anyhoo here's to a good week ahead!

Great pic of the really quite lovely Princess Anne at Royal Ascot 1969.

Whilst they're not quite awakening me, the birdsong is increasing - despite the snow.

Have you heard of, or been to, Petersham Nurseries? It looks incredible...
Hop over here to have a peep.

Utterly beautiful antique shawls found here.

What:nots...

Or should that be belated-what:nots? After one too many late nights it was early to bed for me last night, and today has been the usual hurly-burly round of Saturday things. Anyhoo I hope you all had a fun week. We survived another week of the hols, as well as sweltering temperatures, and are now on a countdown toward our next adventure. We have a four hour layover in Chicago and I'm wondering whether we should explore beyond the airport....if anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them. Right-o let's get on with what:nots, or it will be next Friday before you know it!
Dark hair, wild brows and ice blue eyes at Alberta Ferretti.
Loving Burberry's new 'beauty' range - especially the lip glows.
How to personalise (or pimp) your Moleskine.
Lovely ballet flats by Maria Sharapova for Cole Haan.
Could Clu have made the perfect little black dress for summer?
Delicate nested 'rose' bowls from White Forest Pottery.
kai perfume oil a sublime blend of gardenia and tropical white flowers.
And a small pop of colour to end with. I not sure what I love more about Uxua Casa - the idea of staying here, or finding a little piece of paradise and creating something similar...

I hope you have a fun weekend - I'm off to make cardamom cooler from here.

Weekly what:nots...

Hello there - how has your week been? Ours has been busy, two very excited boys left this morning for their end of year school sleep over. Let's hope it stays dry! Portland has been shrouded in grey, grey cloud and rain for yet another week, and to be honest I'm really over it. On a pleasanter note, I went riding this morning (yay), and met the very talented Lisa of Lisa Golightly. How lovely to be able to put a real person to a blog. If you aren't familiar with Lisa's paintings hop on over here and have a peek - they are utterly beautiful. I hope you have a fun weekend, here's what:nots for the week...
Great side shot found here.

Mandy by Kate Spade - a perfectly versatile summer sandal.

Weekly what:nots...

Happy Friday! I hope you've had a great week. I've shaken off my bug - yay - and am very much looking forward to the weekend. Hopefully we get some sunshine, Portland is feeling rather grey and drab with all this cloud. This evening we're taking the boys to Cirque de Soleil which we're all really looking forward to. Right-o better get on with what:nots, and then I better get on with "getting things done" as I seem to be doing a rather good job of procrastinating....
I love this Stephanie Rausser image...
Could this be the perfect cup for tea? In fact I'm quite taken by everything in Amanda Gentry's shop.
Highly desirable bangs and dark hair seen here.
This is perfectly true - chocolate solves many a problem, don't you agree?
Impossibly soft lilac and beige silk at Alberta Ferretti.
Great colours on these tie-dyed leather shorts.
And a favourite book of children's poetry.

I hope you have a fun-filled weekend!
